CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Excess volatility increases risk further. Be cautious. Past performance is not an indication of future results.

Hong Kong — Questions filed by the thing that closes them

Most beginner questions are not hard, they are merely put to the wrong place. Four screens answer most of them, one group is answered by a clock rather than a window, and a last group has no answer anywhere.

The four screens, and what each one closes

ScreenWhat it settlesHow long the answer keeps
The watch window — the list of instrumentsWhat exists, and what is quoting right nowMinutes for the prices; the list itself keeps
A symbol's contract detailsContract size, swap, trading hours for that one instrumentStable, but per symbol — never reuse another's
The order ticket, before confirmingThe two prices, the step value at your size, the marginUntil the ticket is closed; write it down
The account area, and support behind itYour own balance, documents, requests, historyPermanently, as a record

Two further groups answer to no window: one belongs to the clock, the other to nobody. The page ends with those.

Asked of the watch window

What is the quickest way to see how two markets differ?

Put them side by side at your own hour and watch which one moves. Reading about the difference takes longer and settles less.

Does the list look different on a practice account?

No — the same instruments and the same prices, on virtual money (demo account).

The window shows a price but the number never changes. Is it live?

A still quote is not a stale one. Which it is gets settled on the symbol's own hours, not by staring at the window.

Asked of a symbol's contract details

One instrument at a time. Nothing here can be carried from one symbol to the next.

How much does one unit of size actually cover?

It depends on the symbol. One lot of EUR/USD is 100,000 euros; on a metal or an index CFD the quantity behind one lot is stated in that symbol's details.

Is a pip the same distance everywhere?

No. It is the fourth decimal on most currency pairs; an index CFD moves in points, a metal in steps on a measure of the goods (the word list).

Is the overnight charge the same on two open trades?

No reason it should be. The swap is stated per symbol, and it can be a charge or a credit.

Does the swap-free option change that line?

On eligible instruments the overnight charge is not applied. Which instruments qualify is a per-symbol matter (account types).

When exactly does this instrument stop quoting?

Its own specification states the hours. That is the answer for every family, including the ones that never close.

Asked of the order ticket, before confirming

Where does the charge for opening become visible?

In the gap between the buying and the selling price. It differs per symbol and moves through the day.

What is one step of price worth, and how much is held while the trade runs?

Both are printed with the order figures for that symbol at the size typed — the step value, and the margin computed from symbol, size and leverage.

A size worked on one market. Can it be reused on the next?

Only after the sum is redone with that symbol's own step value — the calculator does it in the open.

Why does a fresh position show a small minus at once?

The gap between the two prices was charged as it opened. That happens on every family (what a CFD holds).

Asked of the account area

These belong to a person rather than to a market, so no instrument changes the answer — and no page here can read one.

Whose working hours does a request in the account area meet?

Support runs 24/7, so a message sent at a Hong Kong midnight is not queued behind a local morning.

Where does the figure asked for at sign-up come from?

The account type, not the market. Standard has no minimum deposit; some other types carry a region-based minimum (how the sign-up runs).

A trade closed hours ago. Where did its figures go?

Into the history of operations, with cost and result attached, readable long afterwards. Negative balance protection means the balance itself cannot go below zero (risk basics).

A request to take money back has not landed. Which screen carries it?

The account's. The steps are on money in and money out; one particular request belongs with Exness support, 24/7.

Asked of the clock, not of a window

These have exact answers that no window prints. They are settled by comparing two clocks — the one on the wall in Hong Kong and the one the platform stamps along the bottom of a chart.

The whole list looks asleep at this hour. Which clock is wrong?

Neither. The currency market runs 24 hours a day on weekdays because banks in one part of the world open as others close, so a local hour lands differently in that rotation each time.

Why is there a blank stretch across the weekend on almost every chart?

The market rests then. Read off a local clock, the break opens during a Saturday morning here — which is why the last drawn block is Friday's.

A price started Monday well away from where Friday ended. What happened in between?

Nothing was traded across the rest, so prices can jump between Friday's close and Monday's open. It surprises many beginners, and no screen hid anything.

Does a public holiday in Hong Kong close the market?

No. The rest follows the weekend rather than a local calendar, so a weekday off here is an ordinary trading day.

Is «overnight» in the swap line my night?

Not necessarily. The charge attaches to a trade left open across the platform's own roll; the amount is stated per symbol before confirming.

How is a claim about «this morning» checked at all?

Pin the ruler first: read the stamp under the block being drawn now against what your own clock says. After that every time word converts — reading a chart.

Asked of no screen at all

Where will this instrument be by the end of the week?

Nobody has it. No one can predict these moves reliably — not banks, not experts on television — and the family makes no difference.

Which of these markets is the one to trade?

Not a fact anyone holds. They differ in unit, step and hours; none of those differences is a ranking, and leverage magnifies losses on all of them alike.

Somebody offers to say what a first deposit turns into. Which screen is that imitating?

The order ticket — it is dressed as a per-symbol figure. Nobody can promise a profit; a certain figure is a warning sign of a scam.

Does a good run on one market answer anything about the next?

Nothing, and raising the size on it is a decision taken by the run rather than a plan.

What this filing does not do. Knowing what answers a question makes it findable, not favourable. Many people lose money when they start trading — hurrying, skipping practice, risking too much too early. And one figure is on no screen and no clock: the amount that could be lost entirely without changing anything you depend on. That one is written by the reader, before the rest is opened.

Wording on this site is not an account matter and goes to the form here; start here puts the four screens in order.

Three of the four screens open with nothing at stake
