Hong Kong — Account names: the lines settled once, and the one that waits
Five account names, one option and a free practice account. Almost every line a name moves is settled the moment it is picked. Exactly one does not exist until a trade has been left running through a night.
Standard fixes no entry amount; Standard Cent counts the balance in cents; Zero, Raw Spread and Pro carry a region-based minimum; a demo holds none of your money. Swap-free is the odd one out: it drops a charge that only a night held creates.
Standard: the name that fixes no entry amount
Standard is the general-purpose account — the markets most people start with, and no minimum deposit: the amount is the sender’s decision. Its cost sits in the spread, the gap between buying and selling price. Beside Standard Cent only one line differs, the unit the balance is counted in, and it is stated during sign-up.
Standard Cent: the same prices, counted in hundredths
A cent account keeps the balance in cents rather than whole units: a small deposit shows as roughly a thousand small units, trades about a hundred times smaller than on Standard. The money stays real — losses are small, but real. The unit shows on the balance line and in the account list, before any order goes out. A common name for a first real trade.
Zero, Raw Spread and Pro: names arranged around pricing
Three professional names, built for experienced traders with specific needs around pricing and costs. Against Standard the line that moves is the entry amount: they carry a region-based minimum where Standard carries none.
Swap-free: the one line that waits for a night
Keep a trade open overnight and a small charge called a swap may apply; swap-free is the option under which, on eligible instruments, it does not. Nothing else moves — the spread stays, the price stays. The figure belongs to the order: Exness Terminal and MetaTrader print it before a trade is confirmed.
Which makes it the only line here that the account list cannot settle. The others are printed and finished; this one is a condition — if the trade is still open when the platform's day rolls over.
Whose night the overnight line means
The roll that triggers the charge belongs to the platform, and a reader in Hong Kong is on a different clock from it. Two situations are worth telling apart, and both are settled by reading rather than guessing.
- A trade opened and closed inside one local evening may never cross the roll at all, whichever name is on the account. The timing decides it, not the list.
- A trade left running while you sleep crosses it, and the line appears — as a charge or occasionally a credit, stated per symbol.
The check costs nothing: open the contract details for one symbol, read the swap lines, then read the figure the order screen attaches to your own size. The account list never prints that number.
Demo: the name that holds none of your money
A demo account runs on virtual money — free, no time limit, no documents; an email and a password are enough. Barely a rival to the other names: nothing of yours is inside it, and demo results don’t guarantee the same results later.
The names side by side
| The name | The line it moves | Where that line is printed | Does an hour touch it? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | Entry amount: none fixed | Sign-up screens | No — settled once |
| Standard Cent | The unit: cents, not whole units | Balance line in the platform; the account list | No — settled once |
| Zero, Raw Spread, Pro | Pricing for experienced traders; a region-based minimum | Sign-up screens; the personal area | No — settled once |
| Swap-free | The overnight charge does not apply | With the order, in the platform | Yes — only a night held brings it up |
| Demo | No money of yours in it | The account list | No — settled once |
How the list reads on screen
The names arrive as a list, and a list has a top. Printed first is only printed first: layout, not a ranking. When a name is picked, keep a screenshot of the list and a line with the date beside it.
What every name shares, and why it decides nothing
Under every name the same instrument is quoted at the same price, the software is the same — Exness Terminal or MetaTrader — and money at stake can be lost. A name decides terms of service, never a market price.
So a fact true of every name cannot argue for one. Whatever is picked, the amount sent should be one you could lose entirely — the basic safety rules come first.
Choosing between the names
Standard or Standard Cent — which line actually separates the two names?
The unit the balance is counted in. Same markets, same prices; the unit and the trade size change.
Is a name that asks for a minimum stronger than one that does not?
A minimum is a condition of entry, not a quality.
Why do Zero, Raw Spread and Pro sit in a group of their own?
Built for experienced traders with specific needs around pricing and costs. No account type makes trading safe or profitable.
Which name suits an amount that should not hurt to lose?
Standard Cent if a mistake should cost cents; Standard if no minimum fits better.
Does swap-free make trading cheaper overall?
It removes one line only. The spread stays where it was.
If a trade never stays open through a night, does the option matter?
Not to that trade. The line it removes appears only once a position crosses the roll.
Where is the overnight figure actually read, before anything is confirmed?
On the order screen, and on the symbol's contract details — as a charge or a credit.
Can the name picked today be swapped for another later?
The choice can be revisited later, from the personal area.
Does a name with smaller trades make the risk smaller?
Each mistake costs less; the losses stay real.
What stays identical whichever name is picked?
The prices, the platform, the personal area — and that money can be lost.
A name is called suitable for serious traders. Is that about the account or the reader?
Neither, until a line is named: entry amount, unit, pricing, overnight charge.
Where these names come up next
No name has to be picked today.
A demo works before any choice between names: virtual money, no time limit.
